Oh boy. This really cuts it for me. I got this message, in regards
to what was originally here, a page of racist jokes, INCLUDING A
DISCLAIMER:

Now, I don't really want to hurt anyone deeply by posting content on my web
site, but when I started getting a bunch of "racist" jokes for submissions,
I started putting them within the quicky jokes.
Thinking that some innocent little children who wanted to read popsicle stick
jokes may stumble upon it, I put the racist jokes on its OWN page, including
a VERY precise disclaimer at top which read this:
IF YOU DON'T WANT TO READ RACIST JOKES, PLEASE GO TO ANOTHER SECTION
OF SQUACKLE. THIS IS THE MOST RACIST PAGE ON THIS WHOLE SITE.
If you're wondering why we have them in the first place, this is the reason:
because there's a part of the population that gets a kick out of it. I
do not take these racist jokes seriously, and therefore am mature enough
to distinguish between reality and what's a stupid joke. If you cannot,
then please go to another section on the left. We take no preference
toward one race or the other, so there are jokes about all races, not just
aimed at one.
So, when I got that mail, I was pissed off. Because in the DISCLAIMER,
it says PRECISELY if this woman cared to read it: I do not take these
racist jokes seriously, and therefore am mature enough to distinguish between
reality and what's a stupid joke.
OBVIOUSLY, this person is not mature enough to distinguish this vast difference.
Furthermore, she's going to SUE me right off the bat? She didn't
even have the descency to say "Please take off the racist jokes page." I
WOULD HAVE DONE THAT IF IT WAS REALLY THAT BIG OF A DEAL. I didn't
take it down though, because it is my right to have or to not have jokes
of different types on a web site. Its not like I'm advocating hate
and having people email me to join me at the next cross burning or the next
redneck beating.
It doesn't make sense in the first place. Why would this person want
to spend thousands of dollars to sue "our company" in the first place?
Does she HAVE this kind of money to just throw around and say "Oh,
I'm going to search out web sites that contain racial content and then SUE
them." Hey lady, sue the KKK first before you sue a web site called
Squackle.
And plus, how do you even get to racist jokes page without doing so
intentionally? You have to have searched for the term or have intentionally
clicked on the "racist jokes" link on the jokes page.
I pretty much figured that this was a joke, but in the case that there IS
someone like this out there that has the nerve to actually go ahead and sue
me, this page is for them. I hope you're happy that all aspects of
life should have a disclaimer attached to them. You make the world
a much better place.
By going to the racist jokes page you must agree by these terms:
1. You will not take offense to the content.
2. You understand that the racist jokes page is NOT aimed toward one race
only.
3. You will not SUE Squackle for what is on the page, even though it is well
within our right of free speech to have these on our web site if we chose
to or not.
