Squackle! The Funniest Site on the Net - Squackle! Inc. Positions

There are big plans on expanding Squackle, and Squackle! Inc., which is the "parent company" of Squackle. Squackle! Inc. has (or will eventually) have many different web sites under it. Right now, there is Squackle, Button Man Games, and See People Die. There are a lot more ideas for new web sites and things expanding on Squackle itself, but there is a lot of work involved. This is where you come in. You can become a part of Squackle! Inc., and offer your services (who knows, maybe one day we'll pay you), to help make great content and web sites. You can also be the reason why a web site is made. Almost anyone can help! The only exception is blowthetoad. We don't want him. Below are the positions we can think of so far.

This is the most needed position, and we need people that have good ideas for web page format, and web page application (such as the system behind the actual web page). There's going to be a lot of web sites, so we need as many web site designers as possible, so if you have expertise in HTML, PHP, CGI, Java, XML, Flash, etc. you can help out a lot. The kinds of web sites that may be made are web sites for bands/artists, sub-sites, sub-company web sites, web sites for the businesses, movies, and tv shows that are in Squackle Broadcasting Company. Also, there will be a web site design company that has all our web site designers together, as a team, working on web sites for people who pay to have a web site designed. If any money is made, all the earnings will be split up equally between the people that worked on that web site design.

We need people to put the Squackle name and its other web sites out. You can do this already, but if you be apart of Squackle! Inc., then you could also help out in other areas, if you wanted to, easier.

There's a lot of talent out there, that is undiscovered or not properly represented. Being a "talent scout" puts you in the position to find other people that could be helpful in making Squackle! Inc. better. If they have skills in any web site design, flash, programming, etc. they can be helpful. Or, you can find a web site that is unique in some way, and on a free server (such as geocities, angelfire, etc.) and ask them if they would like to become a part of Squackle! Inc. They'll probably get hosted or something like that, but this isn't really concrete.

Do you program things in C++ or another language that makes applications and aren't a part of your own business (or you are and want to be apart of ours instead)? Then you can be a part of a Squackle Inc. web site that hasn't been made yet, that offers original software made by its members...basically you're apart of the software web site and you make programs and then we put them up on the web site or something like that. If it gets big enough one day, and if we decide to do this, we'll put programmers together and make them their own team, and have their own web site for their own kind of themed web site (such as games and things like that). If you program in Game Maker and would like to be apart of our Button Man Games team, then fill out an application to do so (when we make it).

If you're in a band or if you're an artist of almost any type, or if you know another person that is in a band or is an artist that would like to get their stuff on the internet, we can make a web site for you (supplied that we have some web site designers to make it for you). We'll put up pictures, concert dates, mp3s, whatever relates to your band or artistry. All the bands and musical artists will be apart of a sub-company kind of thing. It might be named something different, but right now, its Squackle! Records. If you're an artist, such as a painter, or something literature-wise, you'll be apart of the tentatively named Squackle! Publishing.

We have to face the fact that we pretty much suck at Flash. Though we can still do some stuff, we could really use some good Flash artists to make flash movies out of the things in Squackle Broadcasting Company, and even web site design. Flash artists can probably be used in a lot of places, and if you have your own movies that you made, we'll gladly put them up on Squackle as well. As for the Photoshop artists, some people can really do magic with that program, and we would like them too.

Film making can be many different kinds of things. Animation (hand drawn cartoons, Flash cartoons), and actual films made with a video camera. If you have your own group of people, you can be your own film maker group. We won't make you have other people in your group. You can be alone, for all we care, as long as you make at least somewhat good films. Your movies will be sold to people that would like to buy your films, online through us, and you can sell them to anyone you want in real life. In the future, you'll send your movies to us by mail on CD or DVD.

News happens all the time. We need people that would write news articles on things that have just happened in the news. This isn't going to be just rehashed things we learned from other news agencies (because we don't expect you to go out and get the information yourself, unless you want to), you have to have your own opinion or theory or something (if possible) about the story. Something that makes it unique from all the rest, and something that would be expected of Squackle.

We will do mostly all these things as well, we will not "live off of" your work. And this is all not happening right now, this will all probably be happening over the next 5 years, AT LEAST. This is just the basis for what will become the final product, which might become something very successful.
